FAULHABER TOP100 Award 2024 - Header (English)

FAULHABER has now been honored with the TOP 100 Award for the fifth time. The prize is awarded to medium-sized companies that stand out for their particular innovative strength. On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the competition, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and his team examined the participants on the basis of more than 100 criteria from five categories: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success.

Focused on future-oriented solutions

FAULHABER prevailed in the scientific selection process and, after receiving awards in 2009, 2014, 2018 and 2020, is once again one of the top innovators this year. As the market leader in the field of high-performance miniature and micro drive systems, innovation has a special significance. This can be seen, for example, in the developments and projects relating to medical technology that FAULHABER has already successfully co-developed and implemented. Whether drives for surgical robots, minimally invasive areas or for ventilators used to control the dosage and administration of anesthetic gases, the requirements and demands are high. In order to be able to develop and produce at the cutting edge, innovative approaches and local expertise are essential. This is why FAULHABER recently opted for a permanently installed clean room at the Schönaich site. The associated opportunities - particularly in the field of medical technology - are driving both new ideas and future-oriented solutions.

Inventiveness at all levels

Innovation can be found in a wide variety of areas and forms. FAULHABER achieved high scores in the TOP 100 competition in the categories "Innovation-promoting top management" and "External orientation/open innovation". The focus here is on interdisciplinary collaboration between specialists from fields such as electronics, mechanics and process technology as well as the associated proactive exchange with management. Dr. Udo Haberland, Managing Director and responsible for the areas of development, quality and environmental management, says: "We promote the freedom we need to be innovative. One example of this is our Innovation Challenge, which involves developing creative and innovative ideas on a specific topic." Intensive collaboration with customers is another important part of the innovation culture. Joint discussions about industry trends on the customer side provide information about new challenges and requirements. This allows new ideas and developments to be initiated and implemented.

On June 28, all top innovators of the 2024 class will gather at the "congress centrum weimarhalle" for the award ceremony as part of the German SME Summit. There, science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar, who has been a mentor of the competition for 12 years, will personally congratulate them on their TOP 100 success.
